Hi, Anyone know of anywhere in Australia where you can buy matte boxes? I got a Canon HV40 and I want to dress it up a little and also stop len's flare.

I don't think that getting the matte box will be a problem. It's the step down ring to suit your camera that will be difficult. I think your filter size is 43mm. I can only find matte box step downs for a min 52mm. You might be able to stack it with a 52 to 43 step down.

You're right $225 is a lot plus the step down rings. You can buy a few 43mm filters for that sort of money.

Yeah decided to put a bit of the spare cash into a follow focus to mount on my dof adapter when it gets here. Might post a photo of my rig when it's done. Oughta look sweeeet!
