The annual Club Movie Competition for BVMA members is now open.
The closing date is Wednesday 29th September 2010.
RULES
1. The competition is open to all members of BVMA.
2. Movies may be of any subject.
3. Maximum running time of each entry is 15 minutes (Black-to-black).
4. Copyright clearance is the responsibility of the entrant, and the BVMA will not accept any responsibility or condone the illegal use of any music, video clips, photographs, or any other material used in the productions.
5. The material referred to in clause ‘4’ must be identified and the details, including the source, must be displayed in the credits of the movie.
6. The title must be part of the opening of the movie. The entered movie must be the sole recording on that disc or tape.
7. Credits must not include any results from other competitions.
8. Movies recorded to disc must have a minimum of 2 seconds of black leader at the start of the recording. Movies presented on tape must have a minimum of 10 seconds of both leader and trailer. Tapes must be rewound ready for immediate play.
9. More than one entry is permissible from an entrant, but a separate entry form, and entry fee, must accompany each entry.
10. The disc or tape label must clearly show the movie title and the entrant’s name. The container for the disc or tape should, also, display the movie title and the entrant’s name. For convenience, the case should display the format of the recording, such as: Mini DV, SVCD, DVD+R or DVD-R. (All discs must be “Finalised”.)
11. The Committee or the Judges reserve the right to reject any entry, if considered inappropriate.
12. The Committee or Judges will determine the award results.
13. The Judges’ decision is final.
14. The Committee reserves the right to copy entries for screening purposes. The owner shall retain full copyright.
15. Entries close on Wednesday, 29th September 2010, and must be in the possession of the Committee by that date.
